Welcome to Encestando una Sonrisa
The Foundation “Encestando Una Sonrisa” [Make a Basket for a smile] is a non-profit organization basically intended to promote fund-raising events to help destitute children suffering from Chronic Renal Insufficiency (CRI).
The foundation was created in 1996 and is supported by institutions which are concerned and committed to that cause along these years.
We invite you to know more about our social programs and somehow join our projects to help many children and young people suffering from such insufficiency.

1.) Encestando Una Sonrisa 2008The 13th Annual Encestando Una Sonrisa, was held on August 13-17, 2008, is a joint effort of the Pontificia Universidad Católica, the Clinical Hospital, the club Deportivo Universidad Católica (CDUC) and CANAL 13. The championship game of the tournament will be televised throughout the U.S. and Latin America by Fox Sports Americas, and live throughout Chile by CANAL 13. It is an excellent marketing opportunity for both local businesses and multi-national corporations doing business throughout the region.
2.) 13th International Basketball TournamentA tournament promoted by CDUC in association with Pontificia Universidad Católica, the Medicine College, UC Clinic Hospital, and the Channel 13 TV Corporation.
